Young Onset Parkinson’s Exchange (YOP-X)
The YOP-X APP IS LIVE!!
We are excited to announce that Parkinson’s Australia‘s WORLD FIRST app and website is being launched, bringing new hope to those living with Young Onset Parkinson’s. The app is called YOP-X and able to be downloaded for free from your App Store, includes tools which have been uniquely shaped by the first-hand experiences of people living with Young Onset Parkinson’s.
Dr Fiona Kerr and The NeuroTech Institute advised Parkinson’s SA on the development of the app .
YOP-X has been developed as a living lab model. Therefore the experiences, ideas, knowledge and daily needs of people with young onset Parkinson’s have underpinned all YOP-X content. The app has more than one hundred individual stories and experiences shaping tools and resources.
YOP-X also provides a fast track for people with young onset Parkinson’s. So it collects and collates information relevant to their NDIS applications. It acts as a valuable workforce tool for NDIS staff and health professionals.
