This month we welcome Dr Fiona Kerr to speak on the ethics behind merging human with machine.
Dr Fiona Kerr’s consuming interest in the science and power of human cognition and connectivity continues to develop after more than 35 years of working in various sectors in Australia and abroad; including power generation, automotive manufacturing, defence, pharmaceuticals, government, and artistic organisations like Cirque du Soleil.
Transhumanism is a way of thinking about the future that is based on the premise that the human species in its current form does not represent the end of our development but rather a comparatively early phase.
It is hard to say where the human form will be in 5, 10, or even 100 years but it is certain that as technology advances it will slowly be integrated into human beings for the better or worse of our species.
In this presentation, Dr Kerr will discuss the many considerations we must acknowledge as we move into the era of merging humans with technology.
